So we woke up a bit late , 7am was still dark!
Today we’re on our way, heading for Mildura and across to Burra, in South Australia, for tonight.
It’s hard saying goodbye to the dog, thinking he may be in heaven by the time we get home. Fingers crossed, we’ll see him soon 🤞🏻

Just a few kms out of my hometown and we see this car….
12.30pm and we get stopped at ‘border control’ to check for fresh fruit and veg. It’s 17C but the wind is fresh. I’m ready for lunch, not sure about Husband, but he’s done all the driving so far.
Fuelled at Renmark, SA, @$1.87 P/L, lunching st KFC 🐓
Flinders Ranges, means one thing… High fuel consumption!
We decided to go further today, to Port Pirie. We’ve booked ahead for a night in a van park, so looking forward to a long hot shower. The roads are quite bumpy but I’m not incapacitated (yet!)
Finally made it to Port Pirie tonight approx 5pm. Set up the van, had a stroll around the park, checked out the view and took a couple of photos.
All in all, but such a bad day, just long time on the road and only done 655kms.
Tomorrow, our sun is Coober Pedy, almost 9 hours away 😫
